NCAA Championship Game Watch Party

We are going to gather together at Erik and Vicki Potter's home to watch the NCAA Tournament Finals between Louisville and Michigan. This is the conclusion to our 2013 Christ Our King Bracket Challenge.

Going into the final game, there are two people who could potentially win the contest. If Louisville wins, Ethan Cordray takes home the prize. If Michigan wins, then Emily Smart will take home the bacon. Exciting stuff!

So come and enjoy the game with some friends and cheer for your favorite person... I mean TEAM to win!

The Potters live at 4005 Continental Ct, Columbia MO 65203.

The game starts at 8:00PM.

Please bring a snack and something to drink.

Supply Drive for CoMo Cares

The Women in the Church ministry is organizing a diaper, toy, and clothing drive for CoMo Cares, a local non-profit organization that helps families with young children. Many of the children they serve are in crisis and do not qualify for public support. They receive referrals from Love INC, the Voluntary Action Agency, and various churches throughout the Mid-Missouri area.

We will be collecting new and gently used items throughout the month of April. Some of the most needed items are:
Girls clothing, 0-5T
Boys clothing, 0-3 months
Toys (puzzles, books, non-battery toys)

For those families with young children, please consider any of the items your children have outgrown or no longer need. For those without young children, or those with older children, please consider picking up some diapers (any size) or diaper wipes the next time you're at the store. We are happy to shop for you if giving a cash gift is more convenient.

Please contact Laura Talbert if you have any questions or if you'd like to have your donated items picked up.

Christ Our King Easter Party

The long fast is over. Christ is risen! It's time to celebrate and be glad!

To this end, this Saturday, April 6 beginning at 2:30 Christ Our King is having an Easter party! There will be an Easter egg hunt for kids and food and drink for all. Here are the details:

Where: The Skelton home, 16401 S Palis Nichols Rd, Hartsburg, MO. Please call me, Pastor LeCroy, if you need directions (314-604-2088)

When: 2:30-6:00. The Easter Egg hunt will begin at 3, and dinner will follow just after that.

What do I need to bring?
Each family needs to bring your own meat to cook (including buns), a dessert or a side (with plenty to share), and beverages of your choice (also intending to share). You also need to bring folding chairs. Children wishing to participate in the Egg hunt should bring an Easter basket. The church will be providing plates, utensils, and condiments.

Come celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and King! Invite your friends to join us as well.
